How to shrink partition

All the sizes of disk partitions or RAID array virtual drives are carefully allocated while building the Windows Server 2008, 2003 or 2000, however, things are changing and the scheduled size may not always meet your needs, for example:

1. System partition is too small and no free space is left.

2. To manage files more effectively, you need to create more partitions for different usage.

3. A data partition is too small, but you cannot delete it and need to write files into it continuously.

Partition Magic Server helps you shrink a partition to extend another or create new partitions easily and safely.

How to shrink partition without data loss?

Resize partition

Select Partition D, drag the left border rightwards to shrink it, after that, the Unallocated space will be created behind the system C drive.

Shrink data partition

If you drag the right border leftwards, the Unallocated space will be created at the end of drive D.

The Unallocated space can be used to extend any partitions or create new partitions.
